Halloween in Orinda

I grew up trick-or-treating in Orinda, and years later I walked these same streets with my own three girls, flashlights in hand and costumes a little too big. Halloween here has always felt like the town at its best. Porches are lit, neighbors stand out front with candy bowls and everybody knows whose house is whose.

I’ve been adding new descriptions of the Orinda neighborhoods to my website, and I’ll give you a hint: the one with the biggest Halloween turnout every year is the aptly named Sleepy Hollow.

Why you need a local expert

Looking for the right fit in Lamorinda takes a minute, especially if you’re from out of the area. The nuances of the neighborhoods, the streets, the power lines, the custom and unique homes and lots, where the sun goes down early and where you’ll need new brake pads every six months, aren’t things out of area buyers intuitively know.

It goes so fast

Lamorinda is back to school this week! I hope everyone had a successful first week. I know when they’re all so little, everyone with older kids, sometimes annoyingly, tells you “it goes so fast.” I am now that annoying older mom. IT GOES SO FAST!

Friends become clients, clients become friends

I LOVE how my work life intertwines with my personal life! My friends turn into clients and my clients turn into friends! This year, I helped this friend sell her house in Moraga and buy in MCC, and this week we enjoyed a couple days on the lake with our kids before everyone heads back to school. I hope everyone had a great summer!

The OMPA Fin Parade

Thursday kicks off the end of the summer big OMPA swim meet this weekend!! You will be seeing cars with Shark Fins, Dragons, Dolphins and more cruising around Lamorinda this week. For those of you with them in your cars… remember they don’t fit in garages or drive-throughs!
